This is for you if
You're done
managing symptoms.
- →You've tried therapy before and it didn't touch the OCD
- →You've been told you have 'anxiety' but something feels more specific
- →You spend hours on rituals, reassurance-seeking, or avoidance
- →You're ready to do the hard work, not talk around it
This is not for you if
You want comfort,
not change.
- ✕You want a therapist to reassure you your fears aren't real
- ✕You're looking for open-ended talk therapy with no structure
- ✕You're not ready to tolerate discomfort during exposures
Not sure? The free consult is exactly for figuring that out. No pressure.
The real cost
Untreated OCD doesn't stay the same. It expands.
Time
The average person with untreated OCD spends 3–4 hours daily on rituals and avoidance. That's 1,000+ hours a year. Years of your life.
Relationships
OCD recruits the people around you: family members who give reassurance, partners who adjust their lives around your avoidance. It damages what matters most.
Scope
Compulsions that work today lose their power. OCD demands more: more rituals, more avoidance, more certainty-seeking. It grows if you feed it. Learn how the OCD cycle works →
The approach
ERP. The treatment with the strongest evidence base for OCD.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is the treatment with the strongest evidence base for OCD. 6–8 in 10 people who complete ERP see significant improvement. It works because it targets the mechanism, not the content of your thoughts.
Every compulsion teaches your brain the fear is real. ERP breaks that loop, not by convincing you your thoughts are harmless, but by building evidence that you can tolerate them without acting on them.
This clinic uses inhibitory learning, the most current model of how ERP works. The goal isn't to wait for anxiety to drop. It's to build new learning that competes with the fear.
Week 1
Assessment + Hierarchy
Map your obsessions, compulsions, and avoidance. Build your exposure hierarchy together.
Weeks 2–4
Skills + Early Exposures
Start with lower-anxiety triggers. Learn to tolerate uncertainty without neutralizing it.
Weeks 5–12
Active Exposure Phase
Work through the hierarchy systematically. In-session + homework exposures. Reduce all compulsions.
Weeks 13–16
Consolidation
Handle remaining triggers. Build your OCD relapse plan. Transition to less frequent check-ins.
Why this clinic
OCD isn't a specialty here. It's the entire practice.
OCD-only focus
Most therapists treat OCD as one of many conditions. This clinic treats OCD exclusively. The depth that comes from that focus is hard to match.
Inhibitory learning model
ERP here is guided by the latest science: not habituation but inhibitory learning, building evidence that fear doesn't require a response.
Attuned, individual-centred ERP
Protocols are a starting point, not a script. ERP is adapted to your specific presentation, values, and pace. You'll never feel like a checklist.
Transparent from day one
What ERP involves, what it costs, what realistic outcomes look like. You'll know all of this before your second session.

Honest answers
Toronto OCD Questions
Is OCD therapy covered by OHIP in Ontario?
+
No. Psychotherapy with a Registered Psychotherapist is not covered by OHIP. However, most extended health insurance plans cover RP services at 50–80%, with annual maximums between $1,000–$3,000. Justin also offers direct billing to Manulife, Sun Life, Canada Life, and 20+ other providers.
How much does OCD therapy cost in Toronto?
+
Sessions are $250 (50 min). Most clients with moderate OCD complete treatment in 12–16 sessions ($3,000–$4,000 total). With insurance covering 70%, out-of-pocket is often $900–$1,200. A sliding scale is available for financial hardship. See the full fee breakdown.
What should I look for in an OCD therapist?
+
Look for someone who specializes in OCD specifically, not a generalist who occasionally treats it. Ask how many OCD clients they've seen (50+ is a good baseline), whether they use ERP, and whether they do in-session exposures. Credentials matter less than OCD-specific experience. How is ERP different from regular talk therapy?
+
Talk therapy explores why you have intrusive thoughts. ERP changes how you respond to them, by deliberately triggering anxiety without doing compulsions, so your brain learns the fear is unfounded. ERP is the treatment with the strongest evidence base for OCD. 6–8 in 10 people who complete ERP see significant improvement.
Do you offer online OCD therapy in Toronto?
+
Yes. Online ERP works well for most OCD presentations: contamination OCD, harm OCD, ROCD, scrupulosity, pure-O. In-person is available for checking and ordering OCD where observing rituals in your environment is helpful. Hybrid options are also available.
How long does OCD treatment take?
+
ERP protocols in the research typically run 12–16 weekly sessions. Milder presentations sometimes respond in 8–12; long-standing or complex OCD can take longer. You'll get an honest estimate after your assessment, not a promise. Progress is tracked with standardized measures every 4 sessions so you always know where you stand.
